The Benedict-is-still-Pope Gang creates more problems than it solves

ANATHEMA Definition Solemn condemnation, of biblical origin, used by the Church to declare that some position or teaching contradicts Catholic faith and doctrine.  "If anyone," Paul wrote to the Galatians, "preach to you a gospel besides what you have received, let him be anathema: (Galatians 1:9). Reflecting the Church's concern to preserve the integrity of faith, the Fathers anathematized heretics in a variety of terms. Polycarp called Marcion the firstborn of the devil. Ignatius saw in heretics poisonous plants, or animals in human form. Justin (c. 100-65) and Tertullian (160-220) called their teachings an inspiration of the Evil One. Theophilus compared them to barren and rocky islands on which ships were wrecked, and Origen said they were pirates placing lights on cliffs to lure and destroy vessels in search of refuge. These primitive views were later tempered in language, but the implicit attitudes remained and were crystallized in solemn conciliar...

Keep Christ and The Mass in Christmas

Image
Is does no good to explain to the Knights of Columbus that their stickers they sell - Keep Christ in Christmas - is aught but a weak echo of the protestant evangelicals who created that slogan. But, we must keep Christ in Christmas, don't you realise that? Yes. But we must keep Christ and The Mass in Christmas if we are to be Catholics. They look at you with dull eyes as the point just doesn't register even when one explains to them the etymology of the word Christmas: Christmas (n.) "Church festival observed annually in memory of the birth of Christ," late Old English  Cristes mæsse , from  Christ  (and retaining the original vowel sound) +  mass  (n.2). Written as one word from mid-14c. As a verb, "to celebrate Christmas," from 1590s.  Father Christmas first attested in a carol attributed to Richard Smart, Rector of Plymtree (Devon) from 1435-77.  Christmas-tree  in modern sense first attested 1835 in American Englis...

The Word arrives at midnight as a fierce conqueror in the land of destruction

Wisdom 18 14   Cum enim quietum silentium contineret omnia, et nox in suo cursu medium iter haberet, 14   For while all things were in quiet silence, and the night was in the midst of her course, 15   omnipotens sermo tuus de cælo, a regalibus sedibus, durus debellator in mediam exterminii terram prosilivit, 15   Thy almighty word leapt down from heaven from thy royal throne, as a fierce conqueror into the midst of the land of destruction,

The Lord knows The Bishop of Rome has been naughty

Image
The Bishop of Rome imagines his own self as the ecclesiastical equivalence of Jesus Christ and, thus, his thinks his enemies are Judas and The Pharisees. https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/did-pope-francis-just-compare-archbishop-vigano-to-judas-in-his-christmas-a If he does not repent - and we must pray daily he does - he is in for a shocking sentence when he stands before the judgment seat of Christ. Gian Lorenzo Bernini's, Damed Soul https://www.nybooks.com/articles/2015/06/04/bernini-he-had-touch/ Ezek 34: ‘ This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Woe to the shepherds of Israel who only take care of themselves! Should not shepherds take care of the flock? You eat the curds, clothe yourselves with the wool and slaughter the choice animals, but you do not take care of the flock. You have not strengthened the weak or healed the sick or bound up the injured. You have not brought back the strays or searched for the lost. You have ruled them harshly and brutally. So t...

There was no state of emergency Lefebvre could justly appeal to

Can.  16  § 1 . The  legislator   authentically   interprets   laws  as does the one to whom the same  legislator  has  entrusted  the  power  of  authentically   interpreting . The Legislator is The Pope and, in this matter, the Pontifical Commission for the Interpretation of Legislative Texts. The Legislator is not Lefebvre and so he had no authority/power to delegate to his propagandists and defenders any legitimate authority to explain what a state of emergency is. The whole sad Lefebvrite schism is a grave tragedy As far as the state of necessity in which Mons. Lefebvre thought to find himself, one must keep before one that such a state must be verified objectively, and there is never a necessity to ordain Bishops contrary to the will of the Roman Pontiff, Head of the College of Bishops. This would, in fact, imply the possibility of "serving" the church by means of an atte...

Oakland Raiders sign worst NFL QB ever.

So, when we say something radical like, “ Nathan Peterman of the Buffalo Bills is the worst starting quarterback in NFL history, ” we are not engaging in hyperbole. We are measuring Peterman’s performance through his first two NFL seasons in an era that presents every possible advantage to quarterbacks, and we are very much Not Amused. In Buffalo’s 41-9 loss to the Bears on Sunday afternoon, Peterman completed 31 of 49 passes for 189 yards, no touchdowns and three interceptions. Those three picks increased his career total to 12, against 130 total attempts, which gives him a career interception percentage of 9.23%. ABS has always been a fan of The Oakland  Raiders   and so when Coach/GM Jon * Gruden signed him to the practice squad the only possible defense for that action is that Gruden is very ill and may need one of Peterman's kidneys. * Gruden is being paid $10 million dollars a year- for ten years to  Coach and Generally Manage the Raiders ...
