Local daredevil dies during new waterpark opening festivities
Dave "My middle name is Danger" Dashpot, Palm Beach County Florida's most celebrated Daredevil died suddenly when he was slammed into a Royal Palm Beach Firetruck parked there to help celebrate the town's Wild Wild Western Communities Waterpark Grand Opening.
Before a shocked crowd over a thousand revelers- many of them children - Dave The Daredevil sat at the end of the town's dock smiling broadly as he waved to the boisterous crowd before signaling the boat to go; Hit it, man. Let's get that boat motivating.
It was less than ten horrifyingly violent seconds later that Daredevil Dave had his brains bashed out when he crashed into the Firetruck.
After the tragedy, The Town's Mayor, known affectionately as "Mayor," said he thought the owner of the Towing Boat, Mike "Motor Head" Morgan, had erred by putting a jet engine on the boat rather than the usual 40 H.P. Johnson.
But you know, Mike. He always likes to surprise people and put own a show not likely to ever be forgotten.
And, as sad and shocking as this day has been, we consider it has been sort of a bitter sweet tragedy because, although Daredevil Dave had his brains bashed out crashing into the Firetruck, the Firemen were quick to jump out and hose off the remains of poor ol 'Dave.
Well, lessons learned then.
We will prolly pass an ordinance forbidding pleasure craft to use jet engines.
OK, why all the sad faces? I don't think Dave "My middle name is Danger, Dashpot would like his final performance to end with a lot of sad faces and even some tears so why don't we all head on over to Sammy's Snow Cones Stand and get something cool and sweet to beat the heat.
Treat's on me...
And all the kids yelled, YAY!!! and began racing towards the Snow Cone Stand with a speed reminiscent of the speed of the boat that contributed mightily to the death of Daredevil Dave.
