The modern madness of dialogue

Respectfully, a Constitutional originalist might reject more recent court cases if he believed they conflicted with the original intent. That’s the point, right? They don’t accept the way the reading of the law has changed over time; they want the meaning the writers had.
From a Protestant perspective, that’s exactly what we’re doing: getting back to what God, through the writers of Scripture, originally intended, and rejecting the “drift” over the years away from the beliefs of the early church. When one reforms what has been deformed, one is seeking the original shape.
Obviously that’s not the Catholic interpretation of Protestantism, but for many of us, that’s our internal perspective – and in that sense, I don’t think it’s odd at all that we’d be “originalists” in both spheres.

The Shameless Popery Blogger is a seminarian who has a typically interesting and solid post but he will allow his followers to respond incessantly to this prot whose S/N is Irked.
In typical fashion for a heretic, Irked begins by thinking of himself a judge of The Catholic Church and Tradition even though nobody made him a judge - least of all Jesus and His Catholic Church - or sent him to judge - least of all Jesus and His Catholic Church - but that is what he announces to all that is what he will be doing.
It goes without saying that neither the seminarian blogger or his readers will follow the New Testament when it treats of how to deal with a heretic because all of them have been schooled in the importance of "dialogue" even with those who are heretics and show no interest in converting to the truth.

On July 17th, at 9:41 AM, ABS posted the following there but it will not likely be approved for posting because the seminarian and his followers treasure such "brothers" and want to dialogue with them;

Catholics, know your Faith and pay no heed to
one who comes to you with another Gospel.

Mark him out as a heretic and shun him as the
Word of God Teaches;

The Gospel teaches us that heretics are ignorant,
obstinate, and proud and we must shun and ignore
them

Deut 18:20 But the prophet, who being corrupted with pride,
shall speak in my name things that I did not command him to say, or in the
name of strange gods, shall be slain.

1 Tim 6:3-5   If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to the sound words
of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to that doctrine which is according to godliness,[4] He
is proud, knowing nothing, but sick about questions and strifes of words; from which
arise envies, contentions, blasphemies, evil suspicions, [5]Conflicts of men corrupted
in mind, and who are destitute of the truth, supposing gain to be godliness.

1 Tim 4:1 Now the Spirit manifestly saith, that in the last times some shall depart from
the faith, giving heed to spirits of error, and doctrines of devils,

2 Tim 3:1-5 [1] Know also this, that, in the last days, shall come dangerous
times. [2] Men shall be lovers of themselves, covetous, haughty, proud, blasphemers,
disobedient to parents, ungrateful, wicked, [3] Without affection, without peace,
slanderers, incontinent, unmerciful, without kindness, [4] Traitors, stubborn, puffed up,
and lovers of pleasures more than of God: [5] Having an appearance indeed of
godliness, but denying the power thereof. Now these avoid... Now as Jannes and
Mambres resisted Moses, so these also resist the truth, men corrupted in mind,
reprobate concerning the faith.
1 C 11: 19 For there must be also heresies: that they also, who are approved,
may be made manifest among you.

2 C 11:13-15 For such false apostles are deceitful workmen, transforming
themselves into the apostles of Christ. [14] And no wonder: for Satan himself
transformeth himself into an angel of light. [15] Therefore it is no great thing if
his ministers be transformed as the ministers of justice, whose end shall be according
to their works.

Rom 16:18 For they that are such, serve not Christ our Lord, but their own
belly; and by pleasing speeches and good words, seduce the hearts of the innocent.

2 Tim 3:6 For of these sort are they who creep into houses, and lead captive
silly women laden with sins, who are led away with divers desires:

2 Pet 2:3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make
merchandise of you. Whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their
perdition slumbereth not.

2 Pet 2:4, 9 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but delivered them,
drawn down by infernal ropes to the lower hell, unto torments, to be reserved unto
judgment:
[9] The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly from temptation, but to reserve the
unjust unto the day of judgment to be tormented

Titus 3:10 A man that is a heretic, after the first and second admonition, avoid:

Mat 7:15 Beware of false prophets, who come to you in the clothing of sheep,
but inwardly they are ravening wolves

Rom 16:17 Now I beseech you, brethren, to mark them who make
dissensions and offences contrary to the doctrine which you have learned, and
avoid them.

1 John 2:19 They went out from us, but they were not of us. For if they
had been of us, they would no doubt have remained with us; but that they may be
manifest, that they are not all of us.

1 John 4:5 They are of the world: therefore of the world they speak, and the world
 heareth them.

2 John 10:11 For he that saith unto him, God speed you, communicateth
 with his wicked works.

Phil 3:2 Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision.

1 Tim 1:18-20 This precept I commend to thee, O son Timothy; according to
the prophecies going before on thee, that thou war in them a good warfare, [19]Having
faith and a good conscience, which some rejecting have made shipwreck concerning the
faith. [20] Of whom is Hymeneus and Alexander, whom I have delivered up to Satan, that
they may learn not to blaspheme.

2 Tim 2; 16-18 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they grow
much towards ungodliness[17] And their speech spreadeth like a canker: of whom
are Hymeneus and Philetus: [18] Who have erred from the truth, saying, that the
resurrection is past already, and have subverted the faith of some.

Acts 20: 29-31 I know that, after my departure, ravening wolves will enter
in among you, not sparing the flock. [30] And of your own selves shall arise men speaking
perverse things, to draw away disciples after them. [31] Therefore watch, keeping in
memory, that for three years I ceased not, with tears to admonish every one of you
 night and day.

2 Pet 2:1  But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there
shall be among you lying teachers, who shall bring in sects of perdition, and deny
the Lord who bought them: bringing upon themselves swift destruction.

Mat 24:4 And Jesus answering, said to them: Take heed that no man seduce you:

2 John 1:7 For many seducers are gone out into the world, who confess not
that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh: this is a seducer and an antichrist.

Priests, Prelates, and Popes spend countless hours

dialoguing with those who hate the Faith and so

one thinks those men must consider themselves

holier than the Saints who brought us the words

of God warning against doing just that.

Worse, they think themselves more enlightened

than God and refuse to hear His word or obey it

and they try to level His Church and its Doctrines,

Worship, and Tradition and they try to reduce it

so it will be seen on the same level as the false

religions and they expect us to obey them.

Lord have Mercy..
