America's missed opportunity


America missed its opportunity to be a happy and contented republic and it would have been a  peaceful and orderly place to live, free of drug abuse, violence. divorce and Oprah, and it never would have gone to war in Korea, Vietnam Nam, Afghanistan, and Iraq had just one thing happened.

Consider - Tyrone Power had a son but did not name him Gower after the male lead of the famous dancers Marge and Gower Champion.

If there had been a Gower Power he could had a variety show called The Gower Power Hour, sponsored by Gold Medal Flour, and his first guests could have been former New York Jets wide receiver George Sauer, Hillbilly comedian Jerry Glower, Yankee player Hank Bauer, Steelers Coach Bill Cowher, and the face of what became an insane Empire would not be so dour.

 It is owing to the failure of Tyrone Power's refusal to cooperate with fate and name his son, Gower, that the name, Gower, is not among the top fifteen million names for new born American males.

It makes ya think, doesn't it?
