Battle of Franklin, Tenn. Nov 30, 1864

"White Mansions" is a CD having to with the War for Southern Independence and Mr. Waylon Jennings sings a fair amount on this song collection and whenever ABS listens to him sing,  when he hears his deep, rich, soulful voice, and he hears his mournful low-note guitar playing, ABS always imagines that he is hearing a chain of memory being dragged across the rocky floor of some long-forgotten Southern Sepulcher. And the chain is being dragged by a hated Haint, dressed in his ragged Confederate Gray Long Coat, and the chain he is dragging is comprised of the links of lies, enmity, and ignorance, forged in the minds of the Jacobinite North and imprisoning nearly the entire populace with its haughty and vindictive "memory," and this Haint will haunt that sepulcher until America releases him from his bondage with the key of righteousness; a righteousness that, finally, at long last, gives the Southern Cause its due respect and honors the Confederat...

Bumping your head on the Celine

Image
A twelve year old Celine Dion met her future husband when he became her manager. Celine began a personal relationship with the twice divorced guy when she was 18, and he was 46. Having gotten off to such a moral start, the perceptive princess has since then gone on to brain herself against the new age amoral and irrational ceiling. The vid posted below is smashing in that Celine begins by denying she is trying to tell others what to do or not do and then, moments later, she is on screen telling parents not to dress their kids as boys or girls. She has no self-awareness and so the vid is delightfully entertaining and insipid and as for her partners in the clothing crime and sex chaos ideology business? It appears as though they were raised liberated from norms of femininity... The warbler wails that children are somehow being treated unfairly because boys are expected by parents to act like boys and girls are expected to act like girls. F...

Fun with Popes Quiz

Identify just one of the Vatican Two Saint Popes who followed this worthy advice from Trent. So far, ABS has been able to identify zero who actualised this most crucial of duties. But you are told it is you who is responsible for the captious and calamitous collapse of The  Faith. Well, so much for Vatican Two and its Saint Popes. Let's hear from a real Council... The worthy words of the Council of Trent Decree Concerning Reform CHAPTER I IT IS PROPER THAT PRELATES RESIDE IN THEIR CHURCHES; IF THEY ACT OTHERWISE, THE PENALTIES OF THE EARLIER LAWS ARE RENEWED AGAINST THEM AND NEW ONES ARE PRESCRIBED The same holy council, the same legates of the Apostolic See presiding, wishing to restore a very much collapsed ecclesiastical discipline and to reform the depraved morals of the clergy and the Christian people, has deemed it proper to begin with those who preside over the major churches, for unblemished character in those who govern is the salv...

Teddy Bear toting millennial male attacks Catholic Triumphalism (2)

TRIUMPHALISM Definition A term of reproach leveled at the Catholic Church for the claim that she has the fullness of divine revelation and the right to pass judgment on the personal and social obligations of humankind. (Etym. Latin triumphus, public rejoicing for a victory.) Of course that claim is correct and, of course, Jesus only established One True Church and Catholics ought be Triumphant in that they are  blessed to be members of that One True Holy Roman Catholic and Apostolic Church and they strive to follow all of the Commands of Christ that Jesus said must be done to prove we love Him. There are, un, certain masculine-free men who hate the idea of triumphalism but an increasing number of intelligent men are taking that word back; http://catholicism.org/ad-rem-no-131.html https://akacatholic.com/triumphalism/ https://onepeterfive.com/triumphalism-overthrows-heresy/ It is not surprising that the Teddy Bear toting Dreher psychologically p...

St. Peter’s Basilica. Not all roads lead to Rome ( Aerial Motion/Shutterstock )  From time to time, I’ll run into a Catholic who, in a friendly way, will exhort me to return to the Catholic Church, from which I exited in 2006 when I lost my Catholic faith via the abuse scandal. In the past year and a half, I have had two dear Catholic friends make impassioned pleas to me to return to the Catholic Church. I have absolutely no doubt that they did so out of genuine love for me. There is no chance that I will do what they hope I will do, but I received their appeals as acts of love and friendship. They genuinely want what they believe is best for me. I bring up their example to show that I do not automatically receive this kind of appeal as a hostile or disrespectful act. In fact, under certain conditions, as I indicate, it can be an act of love. More often than not, though, when Catholics who do not know me personally make this kind of appeal, it comes across as a manifesta...
